Italian Fruits Small Country, Huge Variety
Some italian fruits are not just trivial varieties of widespread natural products, but are really the "fruit" of the italian territory. Spontaneous as well as "engineered" varietals have beed discovered and created throughout the centuries and the millennia in a way that has no equal in no other place in the world. As it goes for the rest of this site, this section is ever-growing and new items will be added and described over time, so be sure you come back and visit us often. And since knowledge is not owned but shared and grown, I would very much appreciate if you could share your knowledge on any interesting product with me and the other readers. Thank you!
The "Mandarino Tardivo di Ciaculli" is a totally spontaneous varietal that was discovered in Ciaculli, near Palermo, in the 1940's and cannot be found anywhere else on earth. Learn more about this.
