The Salon du Chocolat returns to Milan from 15th to 18th February. This is the most important global event dedicated to chocolate, which is proposed to the general public in its third edition – at Fiera Milano – particularly full and interesting. The Salon, born 23 years ago in Paris and characterized by events also in London, Beirut, Moscow, Seoul and Tokyo, counts on a base of 45 thousand visitors, and represents the most delicious opportunity to discover and taste the Italian and international excellences of chocolate. An event dedicated to chocolate
During the event, a rich program of activities and initiatives will allow you to discover this “world”, exploring ways of cooking, decorating, tasting, combining and appreciating chocolate, thanks to three areas set up in over 8 thousand square meters of exhibition. Ample space is provided for the greatest local chefs but also international ones, with show cooking and debates, meetings with producers and master craftsmen.
And, of course, maximum attention to the palate, with tastings that will offer hundreds of types of chocolate, along with cakes, creams, pralines, and even exclusive products, made only during the Salone da maîtres chocolatier.
So many goodies and activities to be discovered
Inside MiCo Lab there will be an area dedicated to the combination of chocolate & spirits, which will then join the precious confectionery product with liqueurs, wines, cocktails. There will also be shopping areas, where you will be able to buy products, and family environments to relax. In particular, the large ChocoShopping area will offer the best products of the most important and famous Italian and international confectioners.
In the Chocoland space, children can explore the chocolate universe thanks to creative workshops, games and activities, wearing a pastry chef’s apron. And maybe participate in Choco Painting, a workshop in which the fantastic stories of the writer Gianni Rodari can also be eaten.
Choco Fashion, an event dedicated to fashion, will also make its return, with a parade of clothes made with chocolate by the most famous Italian pastry chefs. This year the theme is the Belle Époque. And there is also space for professionals in the sector, who can meet chefs and buyers.
Among the events scheduled a Showcooking by Davide Comaschi with Alessandro Borghese, tastings by Compagnia del Cioccolato, the award of the Tavoletta d’Oro 2018 Prize, or the Oscars of Italian chocolate. Among the protagonists of the appointment – as well as the gastronomic universe that revolves around chocolate – there is the presence of chefs such as Luigi Biasetto, Davide Comaschi, Gino Fabbri, Marcello Ferrarini, Loretta Fanella and Silvia Federica Boldetti.
